Important announcement about our day service contract.
We would like to inform you of a new opportunity for our Libertus Day Service.
As you are aware, both Gracemount and Canalside day services are contracted by the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership. These services continue to be very successful, however we are taking the opportunity to remodel our services in order to avoid service closures as a result of the most recent funding reductions across Edinburgh.
Libertus will continue to deliver services for both Gracemount and Canalside, however both services will be delivered at Gracemount, and the Canalside building has now closes. This means we have automatically transferred Canalside placements to our Gracemount service.
While this may appear disappointing to close the Canalside building, our management plan is in place to ensure we to continue delivering this valuable service without interruption within a realistic timescale, and thus it is now in place. We have another bus which will help the members integrate. The bus run return times will be affected, we have contacted each member individually on this.
We will endeavour to ensure minimum disruption to members travelling by minibus, aiming to continue with the same days of attendance as before, however we may contact you if we need to review the day of your placement as a result of transport and occupancy logisitics.

Alternatively, we are contractually obliged to provide support during transition, should you choose an alternative placement with any other service provider that may be more suited to meet your preferences.
