Mental Health Services: Carers Groups and Mental Health Drop In

Carers Groups

The Libertus Carers Group provides a friendly and supportive space for carers to meet others in similar situations, share experiences and enjoy some time together. Sessions take place monthly from 10:30am to 11:30am at Libertus Services, 20 Gracemount Drive, Edinburgh, and are free of charge. The remaining 2026 dates are Wednesday 28 October, Wednesday 25 November and Wednesday 9 December. The December session has been moved forward to the second Wednesday of the month to avoid the Christmas and holiday period. The group offers structured peer support alongside informal chats, with a focus on socialising, emotional support and sharing ideas around managing carer wellbeing. We also regularly welcome guest speakers and specialist presentations, with Vocal and CLW coming soon.

The group is open to carers connected to Libertus services, as well as carers referred by other organisations or the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. The group is currently run by Samantha Logan, who welcomes anyone who would like to come along, ask questions or provide feedback about the group and its meeting format. If you would like to find out more or attend a session, please contact Samantha on 0131 664 7424 or email samanthalogan@libertus.org.uk. We look forward to welcoming carers and continuing to build a supportive community where everyone has the opportunity to connect, share and feel supported.

We are pleased to share the dates for our final mental health drop-in sessions of the year at Libertus Services in Gracemount, Edinburgh. The remaining sessions will take place on Tuesday 13 October, Tuesday 10 November and Tuesday 8 December, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The drop-ins are free and provide an opportunity for people to access support, information and signposting from our friendly team.

Booking is required at least one week in advance to make sure we can give everyone the time and support they need. To book a slot, please call 0131 664 7424 or email grantmclay@libertus.org.uk. We look forward to welcoming members of our local community to our final drop-ins of 2026.
